Gengochaya

Gengochaya

Gengochaya was opened in 1868 (Meiji 1). Its special menu is Zunda-mochi and Goma (sesami) – mochi.
Zunda is ground green soy beans with sugar and is very popular not only among Japanese people, but among people from overseas.
They also serve noodles and many kinds of bowls.
Gengochaya is located in Nishi-Koen park and next to Sakuragaoka-daijingu shrine.

My recommended point

It is a Japanese sweets cafe which has a long history of almost 150 years.
Its sweet menus are famous, but their noodles and bowls are also popular.
